- Develop time-based artwork that communicates its intended message.
THE ASSIGNMENT
For this assignment you will make a time-based work that will interact with your community. You can employee any time-based medium and incorporate the lessons you learned in the class thus far. Some examples would be an artist book that highlights a local cause, an interactive work that considers the local environment, or a video project featuring someone undervalued in your community. There is so much you can do, use your imagination and avoid cliché!
The success of the piece hinges on craft of the work and its impact on the community or specific individuals within it. Importantly, the community you are considering should be outside your group of friends and family. That said, the project can remain within the university. The medium, scale, duration, and other parameters are open-ended, but you should consider the following questions:
