CORE ETSU

CORE is the first year of study for ETSU Art and Design Students. Students are exposed to a multitude of materials, processes, research methodologies, and formal aspects of contemporary art production.  Projects and activities revolve around the following:

- Critical Thinking and Creative Problem Solving
- Process and Experimentation
- Principles and Elements of Design
- Research and Analysis

Beyond individual course material, CORE Connect acts as parallel programing, threading a single theme (each semester) through all CORE courses. The Spring 2019 theme is IDENTITY in Contemporary Art

CORE curriculum is comprised of the following: CORE studio I, CORE Studio II, Color and Practice, and Drawing. Courses are held in Ball Hall on the 4th floor and 209D Campus Center Building.
