THE ASSIGNMENT
For this assignment you will choose a single object that relates to the semester’s theme, i.e. The Body or The Environment. This object needs to be 3-Dimensional and of interesting form. You will be making 10 drawings in total that will relate to this object, so make sure it is something that will maintain your interest. Below are the specific parameters for the 10 drawings.

– 5 Observational Drawings of your object.
These drawings should be done in direct observation of your object. The object can be placed in different setting and different positions.
Some of the drawings can be portions of your object, i.e. if your object was a teddy bear you can draw a portrait or just an eye.
All drawings need to be 18 x 24 inches in size.
You can use any dry medium for these drawings.
A minimum of 2 drawings need to color (i.e. pastel, colored pencil, no wet media)
These need to be “finished drawings” not gesture drawings or sketches.
These drawings need to be from life and can include other objects and/or background imagery.
These drawings have to consider the correct proportion of the object, you can draw only a portion of the object if you wish.

– 5 Drawings on the “idea or content” of that object.

All drawings need to be 18 x 24 inches in size.
You can use any dry medium for these drawings. I
